We arrived at an anchorage just short of Jacksonville, FL about 4:30 PM. The anchorage is pretty deep, but behind 3 small islands just off the ICW. So, we used almost the entire 125 feet of our anchor chain just to be safe. It's a calm evening here, but our friend, Joe Turner, just alerted us to the fact tropical storm Andrea is building in the Gulf of Mexico and according to the weather reports should be approaching this area by 10:00 AM tomorrow with gale force winds. So we believe we'll divert from our plans to go to Fernandina Beach tomorrow and instead head for a marina just a few miles up the ditch and hold up in this safe haven until the storm passes. Thanks, Joe, for the "heads up". We listen to the weather almost daily but in the future we'll be paying a lot more attention to it.
We'll leave early in the morning and should have plenty of time to make the marina before the storm hits, so I'm sure we'll be safe and sound and probably hunkered down with a good book while the storm passes.

We're pretty sure these are roseate spoonbills. We saw some in Texas this winter but never this many.
