After getting up at 6:30 AM and the first gusts of wind and pelting rain slowed down, we hoisted anchor and ran about 2 miles back south to the Palm Cove Marina. It's now 9:36 AM and we're safe and sound, tied up to a floating dock where we'll sit for today and see how the storm progresses. If all goes well, by tomorrow morning it will all be past us and we will be able to continue on to Fernandina Beach where we plan to spend a few days.

Here's a link to the Wikipedia web page regarding Fernandina Beach. It appears to be an interesting and historical town to visit and is very near Amelia Island:

We hope everyone has a great day.
